Rules for a happy playground

PUPIL VOICE

Today, our house captains prepared an assembly to share our new 'Rules for a happy playground' display boards. These rules were generated during family forum by the children and then refined and shortlisted by the house captains.

To celebrate the new display boards the house captains demonstrated how to follow each of these rules.

The process
  1. A family forum was held, asking the children for their ideas on rules for a happy playground.
  2. These rules were then refined and shortlisted by the house captains.
  3. The rules were selected and the display boards ordered.
  4. The house captains presented the rules and the boards to the school in an assembly.
  5. The boards will be displayed on the front and back playgrounds.

Mrs Devine would like to thank all the children involved for their help.

Telling the time

BloggerImage
In Hargreaves class, we have been learning to tell the time. We have looked at how to tell when it is o'clock or half past. Please help us to continue our learning at home by asking ask to read these times from an analogue clock. Thank you.

Winter walks over the past week in Nursery.

We have been enjoying the wintery weather over the last week, investigating our environment and discovering that some creatures hibernate during the winter time. BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage

First, during assembly, the children showed some of their learning and played their ocarinas. They also showed off their fantastic artwork.

After this Mrs Matthews taught a phonics lesson. A big well done to Mrs Davies for being brave enough to volunteer to add the sound buttons to a word, in front of us all!

Finally, the children and adults took part in a variety of phonic activities.
