Yes, it rained, no, the ice cream machine was not well, no, some of us, did not get to go to the park (because of the rain!). HOWEVER we are KS1 and we had fun regardless! We built castles, dug holes, paddled, jumped waves and enjoyed each others company. Thank you to all who helped today and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Today we were visited by John and Jan Wing and two judges from Anglia in Blloom. Three children, from Hargreaves class, escorted our visitors around school and talked about the various gardening projects.
The two judges said they enjoyed meeting the children, as they walked around, and what a happy school we seemed to be.

Today, we were visited by the Ware in Bloom incredible edible judges. The children were delighted to be awarded "Silver" and enjoyed helping Sylvia dig up some of our potatoes. They also gave us a bag of goodies as a prize. Well done all who helped us with our Year 1 allotment.

Mrs Gringling scared off the seagulls by making mustard sandwiches! Today Hargreaves tried to help her out, just in case Fred, Bert or Tom decide to come back, by testing various sandwich fillers. Once again fish paste was a favourite and surprisingly, this year, mustard was a firm favourite! (Don't tell those pesky seagulls!)
You may have noticed all the gardening, going on, around school; there are many projects being undertaken. Today, Hargreaves class gave a helping hand. Anglia in Bloom are coming to visit on a Friday and so we planted up the front flower beds.
The children are very proud of their gardening skills and I am proud of their hard work! Many thanks to Ware in Bloom for providing the plants.

Today we were visited by the awarding winning duo, known as Travelling by Tuba. The day began with a totally engaging and entertaining performance. The younger children were excited to see an ocarina amongst the instruments! We all enjoyed the vast range of music and instruments we experienced and found out we have some very talented alpine horn players amongst us!
After this every children, from Nursery to Year 6, took part in a musical workshop and leaned how to play some instruments and them put the different sounds together to perform an amazing piece of music.
The children in Hargreaves loved every moment, from the Tuba not working, to the Tuba player interrupting his friend, seeing Jasper inside the bell of the Tuba and the Tuba player coming over to play to Mrs Matthews ( and many other staff and pupils) through to the workshop.
